Passion Project Online
Passion Project Online is an online media publication at Ithaca College. From 2019-2021, I was part of the organization, first as a podcaster and then as a Podcast Producer.
In my freshman year of college, I decided to do something ambitious. I started a podcast. I wanted to create a platform that allowed my peers and I to talk about sex, sexuality, gender, and race. This podcast was called Birds and Black Girls. It was a fun and educational opportunity and one of my proudest projects. I'm grateful I had that opportunity. For a short period of time, my friend and I worked on a podcast called Maximum Streaming. Although COVId and scheduling conflicts interrupted our plans, it was great to talk about some of the cultural and personal significance of our favorite movies and tv shows. For one year, I served as a Podcast Producer where I worked with other student podcasters and provided oversight and feedback on the creation and work of their episodes. Podcasting is one of my favorite forms of media and it's something I hope to start again in the near future. Below are some of my favorite episodes that I produced for Maximum Streaming and Birds and Black Girls.
